Belazar was the only son of the blacksmith Belok, stoking the furnace, chopping and gathering the wood gave him endurance and working the forge gave him muscles ripped and corded. His skin is permanently bronzed from the fires and the summers working the forge. In the off days that he wasn’t needed, he helped a young friend build his physique and in returned he was taught to read write and other learned things. Belazar and Gerrard were fast friends but they went their seperate ways when Gerrard joined the priesthood and Belazar joined the Tharinfell army.
Belazar fought in the army for 5 years he learned advanced combat skills, drinking, and whoring around. Until he meet Lydia she was a beautiful woman who wanted Belazar, after all Belazar is over 6’7” and hung like a wild stallion but after a year and ten months Lydia caught the eye of the King and soon she became his consort. Within seven weeks she longed for Belazar to make love to her again. She didn’t care that she was now a kept woman. Belazar was no idiot and he knew it would only be a matter of time before the king found out about it, and put the both of them to death.
The captain informed Belazar that his friend Gerrard the priest was to be banished, (and he would in all probability be put to death) seeing his fate he jumped at the chance to both save himself and the priest. So Belazar volunteered to escort the priest on the queen’s quest and vowed to ensure that the priest would never return on pain of death.
Even though Belazar misses Lydia he knows she will live in comfort for the rest of her life. So he and Gerrard are now bound for the West on a ship named “The Willing Wench”. It is Belazar’s sworn duty to ensure that the priest will never again set foot in the Tharinfell Kingdom, all though both of them never plan to ever again.
